Instructions for Authors

Thank you for choosing to submit your paper to Educational Technology International. These instructions will ensure we have everything required so your paper can move through peer review, production, and publication smoothly. Please take the time to read and follow them as closely as possible, as doing so will ensure your paper matches the journal’s requirements.

Manuscript Submission

Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at the institute where the work has been carried out. Educational Technology International will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

Online Submission 

• All regular submissions must be uploaded through our online management system (Submission & Review menu).
• The author will be asked to first register and log in to use the online system.
• All submissions should be in electronic form. Authors will receive an email acknowledgment of their submission.
• All submissions should be in Microsoft Word, and not in any other word-processing or desktop-publishing formats.
• Initial submissions should be appropriately anonymized. Please ensure that all references to the authors’ publications have been replaced by Author (year) in the body of the text and that the complete entry is removed from the references section. Any other features that could identify the authors (e.g. the names of institutions and the sponsor information) should be removed.

Word Limits

A typical article for this journal should be no more than 8000 words, inclusive of: Tables, References, Figure or table captions, and Endnotes. Articles exceeding 8,000 words in length are unlikely to be published unless they are of exceptional significance requiring an extended presentation to do justice to the material.

Style Guidelines  

• Article Title

Concise & Informative

State the main topic of the manuscript in the title. Include relevant information about the design of the study. Capitalize all words except prepositions, articles, and conjunctions. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible.

Use Garamond with a 16-point font sized, Centered, and Boldface

• Author names and affiliations

Provide the first names or initials (if used), middle names or initials (if used), and surnames for all authors in the order that they should appear if published. As well, provide the university or organization including the country name below the names.

Use Arial with a 10-point font size, Centered, Boldface for names, and Garamond with a 10-point font size for the country name.

• Corresponding author

Clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages of review, publication, and post-publication. Ensure to include the name, affiliation, and email address of the corresponding author

Use Garamond with a 9-point font size.

• Abstract

An abstract should be concise and informative in 150-250 words. State briefly the purpose of the research, methods, main results, and implications.

Use Garamond with a 10-point font size.

• Keywords

Immediately after the abstract, please provide a list of at least 5 keywords, avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts (avoid, for example, “and”, “of”). Do not use abbreviations: only abbreviations firmly established in the field may be used.

Use Garamond with a 10-point font size and italicized.

• Footnotes

This journal does not publish footnotes except on the first page.

• Font Style 

Fonts: Garamond with 11-point font size

• References

All submissions should conform to the requirements of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7^th edition). If the format is unsatisfactory, the submission will be directly sent back to the authors before the review process. Please refer to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (Seventh Edition) or www.apastyle.org.
