Aims & Scope

Journal of Soil and Groundwater Environment is the official peer-reviewed publication of Korean Society of Soil and Groundwater Environment (KoSSGE). The journal was launched in 1996, and accepts original research articles, reviews, technical notes, technical reports, special features, discussions and editorials in the field of soil and groundwater environments. The KoSSGE aims to contribute to the social benefit including an efficient development and a proper conservation of environmental resources through the journal publication. The journal promotes communication among academia, industry, government, and non-governmental organizations who are instrumental in the solution of soil and groundwater environmental problems.

Subject areas may include, but are not limited to:

• Analytical methods

• Site assessment

• Contaminant monitoring and assessment

• Contaminant fate and transport

• Human health risk assessment and management

• Environmental modeling

• Remediation technologies

• Emerging fields including persistent contaminants

Call for papers

The journal encourages submission of papers related to soil and groundwater environment and particularly innovative investigation methodologies and remediation technologies for contaminated soil and groundwater. Studies that are hypothesis driven and/or with an experimental approach are also welcome. The locality of the study area is not restricted in Korea but relevant studies in any place of the world are truly welcome. The study scale can be nano- to mega- km. The journal tries to expand the extent of our knowledge on soil and groundwater environment without any barrier.
